Getting close to "paint"

Lorren puts the finishing touches on the engine compartment. New shock covers and firewall covers. Richard shoots a sample color for approval.

Richard sprayed the door with the third sample and I believe it is a winner. Also it will look great with red graphics or striping.

We have Paint!!

Here's how it's done according to Richard and Brad. Spray engine compartment and trunk (blue). Flip masking to spray exterior bottom color (blue). Flip masking again for roof color (silver). Clear coat. DOUBLE CLICK THE PHOTO to see it BIG!

I put the freshly chromed bumpers/bumperets together after painting the brackets.

Richard spent the day wiring in the headlights, turn signals and most dramatically hanging the bumper and grille. Remember the grille is from a 1961 so some mods were needed to line it up. He is still going to raise it about an inch. He says it's really easy. $$$$. I thought I would throw in a picture from five years ago.
